This year, Jenina wanted to do something different for her birthday. Good bye 20’s and Hello 30’s! So here we are on Pender Island, tucked away within the Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia, Canada.
Woods on Pender, a country feeling cabin and lodge retreat nestled in a forest of lush greens. Hot tub, kitchenette, fire place, BBQ, and pet friendly. The owners were very welcoming, and explained the amenities to us, leaving us well informed and confident that we made an excellent decision for accommodations.
After a very unpleasant ferry ride, the thought of drinking some Bomber Choquelette Stout that we picked up from the brewery before we left, sitting in our private hot tub, sounded like an excellent idea!
The ferry was leaning hard to one side with poor visibility, and bad weather, making a bumpy uneasy trip over to the island. Before arriving at Pender Island no, the ferry makes a stop Galliano island, the island in which we got married on. Although we couldn’t get off the ferry, we couldn’t help but looking out the windows and talk about it. Not much to see in the dark night, after all we took the 7pm ferry which didn’t arrive on Pender Island til 10pm 🙁
Enjoying some Choqlette Porter by Bomber Brewing. We picked up 2 growlers before leaving for Pender Island. Cracked one of those bad boys open, jumped in the hot tub, and started the relaxation process.
